What is something that the city where your organization/center is located is known for? (Or what is something unique about your city?)

It's DC.  We are always thinking about connecting research and practice to policy.  We also have excellent restaurants, and a variety of well known sites to see -- important of course if you are considering attending the 2022 SAVIR conference.

What is/are the primary injury topics your organization/center addresses?

Our injury center covers a variety of topics, but our strengths lie in a few key areas including pediatrics, global injury prevention, translating research to policy, and creative strategies to integrate educational initiatives across our University.

Tell us about a fun office tradition your organization/center has.

Lately, we zoom a lot. Hoping to build new traditions as we emerge from pandemic times.  But somehow we have our fair share of fun on zoom :)

How has your organization stayed connected during the pandemic?

Similar to most groups, we have been making the most of our virtual meeting space to stay connected.  As many of our center members are primarily clinicians, we sometimes see each other in the clinical space, but primarily through regular virtual meetings.

Anything else you would like to share with SAVIR members about your organization/center?

We are a small but mighty Injury Center, and we are looking forward to connecting with you at the 2022 Conference!  We hope this will be a great opportunity to showcase our work, learn from your work, and find opportunities for meaningful collaboration and partnership.
